Week: 24
Day 5 - Sunday
29/06/2014 A Beautiful Day
Breakfast: Almond Toasted
Muesli
Soy & Linseed Toast and Marmalade
Homemade Coffee (low fat milk, no sugar)
Morning Snack: Kiwifruit
It's a wrap!
Lunch: Corned Beef, Baby Leaf Salad and Mustard Relish
Wholegrain & Oat Sandwich
Mandarin
Chicken and Salad Wrap with Honey Mustard Sauce
I kind of skipped breakfast and my morning snack...
I know it’s bad! I headed out early to
some Sunday markets and didn’t have enough time to fit in breakfast, I was hoping
that there might have been something healthy there, like a smoothie, but no. I had to wait until I found a cafe near the
beach and had a Wrap, it was delicious though.
Week: 24
Day 4 - Saturday
28/06/2014 Where Are The Wedges?
A great Saturday breakfast
Breakfast: Bacon, Egg and
Roasted Tomato with Multigrain Toast
Homemade Coffee (low fat milk, no sugar)
Mmm what a great Saturday breakfast and with a
Coffee, great way to start the day!
Forgot the fresh Basil today, oops!
Morning Snack: Red Apple
Not sure what happened here but I didn’t actually
have my morning snack. I have to stop
doing this and eat all my snacks!
Delicious Fried Rice
Lunch: Thai Fried Rice with Chicken
Red Apple Fruit Salad Fruit Cup
I didn’t realise but I had Day 7 lunch
today...oops! At a quick glance, the Day
7 can look like Day 1 (my delivery days changed since I started this blog). But I enjoyed this lunch today. I like that it was Chicken mince, instead of
Chicken pieces, through the rice. It has
heaps of veggies and a nice flavour. I
swapped the Apple for a Fruit Cup. I’m
really sick of Apples!
Mmmm Butter...
Afternoon Snack: Toasted Fruit Loaf with Butter
Best winter snack!
This Fruit Loaf smothered in Butter is delicious and it’s exactly what I
felt like.
You can’t go past a Parmi. Lite n’ Easy did a great job with this one,
it’s delicious. I noticed something a
little different though, this doesn’t have Wedges! It used to have Wedges and now it’s just
pieces of roast Potato. I’m not going to
lie, I am pretty disappointed, especially when it states on the dinner: “Crumbed
chicken breast topped with shaved ham, rich tomato sauce and parmesan cheese
with roast potato wedges and
vegetables”
Don’t drive a wedge between me and my Wedges Lite n’ Easy!
Did they think no one would notice? Should something be said about this? What do you guys think?
I know I probably shouldn't have had this today as I didn't exercise, but when people are eating junk food around you I think this is the better choice than eating crap.
Exercise: None Hope you all have a great weekend! :)
Breakfast: Egg and Smokehouse Ham on a toasted Multigrain Muffin Homemade Coffee (low fat milk, no sugar)
So it’s no secret that this breakfast is one of my
favourites. But I was getting a little
bored of making it the same way. I
decided to heat the Smokehouse Ham today, I placed it in the microwave (in the
plastic with one corner opened slightly, like how you would cook the Bacon) for
1 minute (1200watt). It shrunk! This meant it was exactly the same size as
the Muffin and how perfect is that? Plus
you don’t have to eat warm Muffin, Egg and cold Ham. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this
before, but I’m totally doing this from now on!
#Tip: I cook the Egg in the microwave and it only
takes 1 minute. Crack the Egg into a
microwave safe mug, add 1 Tablespoon of water, whisk (I usually wish for about
1 minute to get as much air as possible) and nuke for 1 minute (1200 watt)
done! Scoop out the Egg with a Fork or a
Spoon and layer between the Ham.
Oh an Orange, how exciting.
Morning Snack: Orange
Hmmm...green stuff
Lunch: Indian Chicken Rice
Fruit Salad Cup
Hmmm... I’m really not sure how I feel about this
lunch. It was okay and the sauce on the
Chicken was tasty but the green stuff? I didn't really like the taste of the green stuff (not sure what it is and too lazy to look at ingredients) and it didn't seem to go with
the rest of the curry. I would probably have
it again but it’s down the bottom of the list.
Mmm toasty
Afternoon Snack: Banana & Apple Bread
I thawed this first and then toasted it. Mmmm warm,
yummy and toasty!
Oh a new dinner!
I had to check this out. I was
happy to see Noodles on the dinner menu as there are currently no other Noodle
dishes on there. The Noodles were thick
(hee hee) and delicious.
But this dinner left me wanting more, more
flavour. This dinner reminds me of the Stir-Fry
Freezer meals, the ones with the veggies and sauce. It’s nice, I would have it again but I just
wanted more flavour from the sauce. I
think this is the “new” Chicken I was talking about in the lunches (post here),
it wasn't really coated in the sauce and was a little bland. I think if the Chicken was marinated in the
sauce it may have been better.
Glasses of water: 5
Exercise: None
Bubble, bubble, bubble!
Dry Ice Fun :) In my Lite n' Easy box of goodies, there was some Dry Ice, there usually is but today the packet was torn. It didn't take more convincing for me to have some fun with it. I put it in a bowl, poured in some water and enjoyed the show :) Warning: Dry Ice is extremely cold and should not be handled with bare hands as it will burn your skin. Please be careful with Dry Ice!
Breakfast: Melted Cheese, Smokehouse Ham and Tomato on a toasted Multigrain Muffin
I decided to take advantage of the fresh herbs in
the garden and added Garlic Chives and Basil, it was so yummy! The herbs made it extra tasty, I’m so doing
this again!
I need all the Vitamin C I can get!
Morning Snack: Orange
A little something extra?
Lunch: Corned Beef and Mustard Relish Wholegrain & Oat Sandwich
Mandarin
I toasted the bread for
extra warmth and crunch and layered the Corned Beef alternatively with the Mustard Relish. I still think this Sandwich needs something else, Salad? Cheese? Something.
Yay! Cake!
Afternoon Snack: Sultana Tea Cake
I let this thaw
completely and then warmed it up in the microwave a little, this way there isn’t
a chance you will get a cold centre.
Mmmm this was yummy!
Okay, so it’s really not
the most attractive looking dinner, but it’s still tasty. I really enjoyed having a curry (it's not spicy) like this
when it’s cold at night. I ate it with a
spoon for extra winter-warmth. (It makes sense to me and that’s all that
matters).
I think I’ll order more curries next time while it’s
cold.
Not really one of my favourite breakfasts and
certainly not in winter.
Snow White?
Morning Snack: Red Apple
How delicious does this Apple look? It was pretty good, as far as Apples go.
Delicious!
Lunch: Chicken & Pasta Bake
Mandarin
I was really impressed with lunch. I’m hoping that this Chicken & Pasta Bake
is replacing the Chicken & Broccoli Bake. This one is cheesier tasting,
like the 54 Homestyle
Macaroni Bakedinner, and the Chicken is a lot nicer, not thigh meat. I have seen free range Chicken breast noted
on Lite n’ Easy lunches too, so I’m hoping this is the last of the gross
Chicken.
I wish the 54
Homestyle Macaroni Bakedinner tasted like this lunch, it has Chicken and
Vegetables in it, to me it’s nicer than just Pasta and Tomatoes.
Mmm Crunchy! :)
Afternoon Snack: Crunchy Noodle Snack
I really like this crunchy little snack, it is a
little spicy but not too hot for me.
I seem to only be eating Steak and Lasagne lately,
I’m still blaming the weather. J
Glasses of water: 6
Great winter snack!
Additional Items: Fruit n Muesli
Toast with Butter
Justin’s Organic Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
I had a spare Fruit n Muesli Toast from one of the
breakfasts I didn’t have so I thought it was a good way to increase some
calories burned off from exercise.
Mmm Peanut-Buttery-Chocolaty-Goodness
Ahhh the Peanut Butter Cups, mmmmm. Yep, still have these kicking around my
cupboard as a little low calorie chocolate fix.

Exercise: Dancing
I was really tired today but pushed myself, it wasn’t
my greatest effort but it’s still great to get some exercise in.
Okay so not a mind blowing amount, but that's okay. I have come off the medication that was making me ill, but it also assisted with weightloss, so I was prepared for this. I'm okay with it, a loss is a loss and I'm happy to be positive and relatively well again.
However, I do have some pretty awesome news! My scales can measure Visceral Fat (among others) and mine used to be 19. It is now 16! How awesome is that? I know that I'm still not in the "healthy" range but I haven't finished my journey!
Excess Level Visceral Fat is 13 – 59
Visceral Fat Is the fat that is in the internal abdomanal cavity surrounding the vital organs. Too much viceral fat can increase the risk of certain diseases such as heart disease high blood pressure and the onset of type two diabetes.
Weightloss Week 23
Weight lost this week: 0.2 kg (0.44 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 126 kg (277 pounds)
Total weightloss: 22.8 kg (50 pounds)
Thoughts on this week
Near the end of the week I felt the side effects from the medication melt away and I was back to my normal exceptional self again. ;) I am so happy I can exercise again! Woo Hoo! Watch out flab, I'm coming for YOU!
Goals for next week
Water, exercise and more water! :) Oh and blog more!
I never seem to get the amount of Milk right with these Vanilla Oats, I put in a little too less and they were a bit dry today. (I put in the recommended 1/2 a cup and found it was a bit too much).
They are a little bland, I wish there was more of a Vanilla flavour through them.
Morning Snack: Mandarin (Uh an Orange)
Lunch: Chicken Breast Fillet, Tomato and Zesty Mayonnaise
on a Ciabatta Roll
Orange
This was pretty yummy, I thought it would be a little bland but it was good. It's a challenge to fit it all on there though.
Another great dinner for the cooler nights. Love the white sauce and all the mashed potato in this one.

Day 4 - Saturday 21/06/2014
Day 4
Breakfast: Multigrain Toast with Plum Jam
Passionfruit Yoghurt
Not one of my favourite breakfasts, but it's okay.
Morning Snack: Pear Cup
Lunch: Chicken Nachos with melted Cheese and Fresh Tomato Salsa
Fruit
Yum! I don't think I've had the Chicken Nachos before, I know I've had the Beef ones. I decided to have the chips completely separate so they didn't go soggy. I heated up the Chicken mix, put it on a plate, topped it with the Salsa and Cheese, YUM!
Afternoon Snack: Roasted Almonds
So because I forgot my snack yesterday afternoon, I added it to this afternoons snack. This was a really yummy little tasting plate. :)
I haven't had this one in a while so every now and then I'll mix things up, what a rebel ;)
I really enjoyed this one, the sticky sauce is lovely.

Day 5 - Sunday 22/06/2014
Day 5
Breakfast: Bacon, Egg and Roasted Tomato with Multigrain Toast
I decided to cook my egg a little different today and poached it in the microwave. I think I left it on a little long but you can cook it to how you like it.
The above is the video I used as a reference to poach my egg in the microwave.
Morning Snack: Peach & Pear Cup
Lunch: Smokehouse Ham, Cheese and Tomato on a Round Roll
Exercise: Dancing! YES! I finally feel well enough to get some exercise in and it felt AMAZING! I'm so happy to be moving again!!! Could not wipe the smile off my face the whole time!

Day 6 - Monday
23/06/2014
Day 6
Breakfast: Nut Cluster Crunch
Soy & Linseed Toast with Apricot
Jam
Not only can I exercise again but I can have Coffee again! WEEEEEEEEE!
I couldn't have Coffee as the medication I was on did not agree with me if I added other stimulants. It's all out of my system now thankfully!
Morning Snack: Kiwifruit Pear Fruit Cup
The Kiwifruit was really hard and I just can't with Kiwi anyway.
Lunch: Greek Meatballs, Salad and
Cucumber Raita in a Wrap
Tropical Crush
I usually don't really like the Meatballs in this one, but if you smother it in the Cucumber Raita it ain't so bad. Love the Tropical Crush, even though it's more of a Summer thing.
This dinner seems a little different... there wasn't as much Salsa as there usually is. I didn't mind though as I don't really think it needs it. Wouldn't mind some low cal Tomato Sauce on it though ;)
Exercise: Cleaning, Dancing and a little Strength Training. On a roll! Great to get the Strength Training back in. I would like to do more varied things, I just have to find ones I like so it's not a chore.
This is the Strength Training I have started doing again. I use 3kg weights for now and do 10 reps of each. My aim is to do this every Monday and Friday.

Day 7 - Tuesday
24/06/2014
Day 7
Breakfast: Creamy Almond & Vanilla
Oats
Multigrain Toast with Plum Jam
Yes! I finally got just the right amount of Milk in with the Vanilla Oats. Just under 1/2 cup.
Morning Snack: Peach Cup
Lunch: Pumpkin Soup and Ciabatta
Toast with Butter
Red Apple
Loved this! It's so great to have soup now when it's cold outside. I didn't find I was hungry after this and I think that was the reason I never used to order them. This soup was tasty and not too watery, nice and thick but not too thick.
Afternoon Snack: Ricotta Spinach
Cake
I'm really not a fan of this "cake". I toasted it to see if I liked it more. I did like the crunchiness you get from the toaster but it was still cold in the middle, ugh. :(
