Awesome Breakfast and Not So Awesome Sauce - Weight Loss Week Eight Day Three Lite and Easy (Lite n' Easy)

Breakfast: Eggs Benedict
(Egg, Hollandaise Sauce, Bacon and Baby Spinach on Ciabatta Toast)

The best Lite n' Easy breakfast hands down.  This really doesn't take me long to make either, about 4 minutes.

Morning Snack: Kiwi Fruit

I got so sick of Kiwi fruit as I felt like I was having them all the time, but I haven't had one in a while so I enjoyed it.

Lunch: Soy Chicken Tender, Peking BBQ Sauce and Salad in a Wrap
Apricots & Pears

The wraps aren't bad but I just really didn't like the sauce, blerk!  I will avoid this lunch next time.

Afternoon Snack: Popcorn & Rice Cake with Peanut Butter

I added an additional rice cake with 2 teaspoons of Peanut Butter due to the workout.  It's a little annoying just guessing how much I've burned off at this stage.

I didn't order this for the longest time as I thought Microwaved steak, that can't be good.   But I really enjoy this.  The steak is pretty tasty and I like the mushroom sauce.  I will continue to order it again and again.

Exercise: Workout DVD - Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone - 1 Mile
Combined with 500g weights (20mins).

I can't find the same workout but there is a similar one here.

My thighs have recovered from the strength training so I was planning on going harder today as I had some energy too.  But when I started I was really frustrated, irritable and really tired.  I didn't understand what was going on so I really didn't give it my best.  After I finished it hit me and I got a massive migraine.

It is really frustrating battling these migraines pretty much on the daily, but I'm glad I got some exercise in today.

Lite n' Easy Morning to Afternoon

Breakfast: Eggs Benedict (Free Range Egg, Bacon, Hollandaise Sauce and Baby Spinach on Ciabatta Toast)

Love this breakfast!  I don't like to spend much time making breakfast, like most people I'm sure.  I cook the bacon in the microwave, then while the toast is on I put the egg in a microwave safe cup with one tablespoon of water, whisk and put it on for one minute (1000w microwave).  I then heat the spinach for ten seconds and put it all together, so this breakfast takes about three minutes to prepare.

Morning Snack: Red Apple Banana

I had one Banana left and it was going a slightly brown so I figured today was the last day I could have it.  Seriously considering getting more, I have been really enjoying something different fruit wise.

Lunch: Beef Rissoles with Walnut & Apple Coleslaw
Peaches & Apricots

I don't really enjoy this lunch, the meat taste nice but I'm just not a big fan of coleslaw, especially when it's apple and walnut.  I didn't eat half of it today.  

The peaches and apricots aren't much better either, I just don't like them this way.

Afternoon Snack: Lavosh Crackers and Cheese

Love having crackers and cheese as an afternoon snack.  So yummy.

I was thinking that the meatballs (porcupines) would taste like the yummy meatballs in the Rigatoni (reviewed here) but it was bland.  There was also rice mixed in with the meat which was unexpected.  The tomato sauce is lovely and full of flavour, so because the meat was covered in the sauce it didn't matter as much that it was bland.  I would order this meal again.

Skinny Cow - Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich

Dessert: Skinny Cow Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich

It's been five weeks without anything sweet, no dessert and I had a really big craving for something sweet.  I didn't want to have something I would regret so I got some of these Skinny Cow (website here) Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches.  They are 150 calories and 2 grams of fat, I think the sugar is a bit high but they have better figures and flavour than the weight watchers sundaes.

The whole Skinny Cow range is on special at Coles (here) for $5.00, normally $8.30.  I have tried the sundaes as well and they are great too.  I love the caramel and double chocolate ones.

Glasses of water: 5

I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not having much water today, it's a constant battle.

Exercise: None

I woke up with a migraine, a saw jaw and nauseous.  I get this frequently from the Chiari Malformation (discussed more here).  I felt ill all day so I couldn't even do an afternoon session.  I don't get down on myself for not exercising, I just hope the next day I'll be well enough.  If I'm not exercising because I'm being lazy, that's a different story.

Weightloss Week 1 - Day 1 - 4 Lite and Easy (Lite n' Easy)

So it begins...
I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences about Lite n' Easy in case any of you are interested in joining up and were curious how it worked or what the food is like.  In case you are not familiar, Lite n' Easy (website here) is an Australian company that specialises in calorie and portion controlled meals and they deliver weekly food right to your doorstep.  I don't want to go too much into it here as I will do a seperate post on how Lite n' Easy works.

I also wanted to share images of the food, not just so you know what Lite n' Easy is like, but for those of you that want to lose weight with me without joining.  Even if you want to just do the dinners, the breakfasts and lunches aren't too difficult to replicate.  With including the photos you will be able to see the portion sizes, how much food and how you should space your eating out over the day.
