Breakfast: Oh shit! I have no time for breakfast and I'll just throw this together smoothie (Banana, cacao, honey and almond milk)

I had an earlier start today and I almost didn't have breakfast but I decided to throw this together at the last minute and have it on the go.  I'm so glad that I did, I think it's really important to make sure you at least have something for breakfast.  On the days that I skip breakfast I REALLY notice the difference.  I find that I get hungrier at night and I'm bound to eat all the things I shouldn't.

I visited my sister and nephew today and she was nice enough to make me a coffee made on almond milk, thanks sis! :)

For morning tea everyone else was having mud cake, so I decided to have some Paleo Balls instead.  Early on in my weightlosss journey I used to be envious when other people were eating cake, pizza etc etc while I'm over here with my carrot! LOL But I no longer feel like that anymore.  Something has shifted and I don't feel like I'm missing out.  I'm not sure what it is, I think it's just from making healthy choices everyday, wherever possible.

A Paleo Nightmare 
Lunch: Ham, Cheese, Tomato and Avocado Roll

I know, there is dairy, grains and processed ingredients in that roll.  Two big Paleo no nos!  But I've learnt to be more lenient with my  diet eating.  I realise that the world will not implode and I will not die if I have something that is not Paleo.  

When you're on eating plans that exclude certain foods, it is easy to become a little obsessive about what you're eating and what ingredients are included.  I know at the start I was guilty of this too.  If there wasn't anything around to eat that wasn't Paleo, I wouldn't eat and wait until I got home.  That really isn't a healthy attitude to have at all.  At the time I was being monitored by specialists and I had to see if my diet was the culprit for my nasty symptoms, so I guess it was a little different then too.

I think it's important to have some boundaries and guidelines, however, I think that you have to learn to be flexible sometimes.  To me, it's not a fad or a diet, it's a lifestyle change.  I plan to eat as healthy as I can for the rest of my life, even after weightloss.  So I always think that if you aren't flexible sometimes and it can't fit into your lifestyle, it's not going to work long term.

Today was a horrible day for me health wise.  Before lunch I got a horrible migraine and my lunch didn't last in my stomach long.  It continued to get worse, even with my usual Aspro Clear and I was in so much pain.  On the way home my whole body ached and it was so uncomfortable I was crying and I wanted nothing more than to leave my body just for a moment.  These are the bad days.  These are the days that I remember when I have a good day and try to remember to enjoy those good days as much as possible.  

As you can imagine, I really didn't have the energy to prepare anything for dinner.  I had my very last Lite n' Easy meal left in the freezer so I decided to have that.  I will miss the convenience of the Lite n' Easy meals, especially on my bad days.    

I think I'll just have to be more prepared and orgnaised and have meals in the freezer for times like these.

Broccoli Pasta Bake, with some Chicken
Lunch: Broccoli & Chicken Pasta Bake

This lunch is tasty and the Chicken is quite nice, even if there is only like three pieces in there.  I know it's called "Broccoli & Chicken Pasta Bake" not Chicken & Broccoli Pasta Bake but there was so much Broccoli in this.

I don't mind Broccoli but if you are not a Broccoli fan than I would stay well away from this one!

Red Apple  Low Fat Banana & Raisin Muffin

With my lunch I was supposed to have an Apple but it made it's way to the back of the fridge and got frozen and defrosted so it was all wrinkly, no thanks!

I had a few over ripe Bananas so I thought I would make these Banana & Raisin Muffins, recipe here.  I put them in a container layered with baking paper and put them in the freezer, so I plan to nuke one after a workout.

These muffins were pretty tasty and I couldn't tell that they were low fat.

Afternoon Snack: Corn Chips with Salsa Dip

Oh my, the Salsa Dip, the Salsa Dip, Oh My!  
I love this snack and I wish I could marry buy the Salsa Dip.

This is one of the meals that is always in my circulation.  It's tasty, I never have an issue with the meat and it's filling.  I would recommend this one.

It was probably the worst day for migraines I've had in a while.  I was so dizzy I couldn't walk in a straight line, it was like I was drunk without the fun and who wants that?  The migraine wasn't too intense and didn't last too long but the dizziness stayed the whole day.

This was actually pretty yummy, I wasn't sure how I was going to like the shredded beef but it was really nice.  I'm pretty sure this is a new addition to the lunches so good to have some more variety.

Mmmm! I toasted it as suggested and it was delicious.  Lite n' Easy know how to make cookies, cakes and muesli bars.

I really liked this last time I had it but I didn't really enjoy it this time, I didn't like the Lamb as much.  I guess I didn't really feel like this at the time.  I will order it again and see how I feel about it then. 

Added some oven roasted Corn again tonight, swapped it for the pumpkin.

Breakfast: Nut Cluster Crunch, Soy & Linseed Toast with Plum Jam

Great breakfast. I think the breakfast would be easy to duplicate if you aren't doing Lite n' Easy but the snacks, lunches and dinner prove to be a bit harder.  I sometimes wonder when I have lost all the weight what food I would eat, I can't be on Lite n' Easy forever.

I think when I get closer to my goal I will just order five days of Lite n' Easy and gradually move away from it.

Do you have any tips for this?

Lunch: Aromatic Chicken Curry

I do enjoy this one, it's pretty tasty.

Either the lunches this week suck (in my opinion) or I'm just really fussy when I'm sick but I didn't feel like Salad or Rissoles and Coleslaw.  I opted for this Aromatic Chicken Curry I had left over from one of the times I went out for lunch.

Oops! I missed it, I was getting ready to go out and it completely skipped my mind.

Dinner: Small serving of steamed white rice and Adobo and small serve of Pancit Bihon.

I'm sorry I don't have real photos of the dishes or how much I had but it wasn't much at all.  I still feel odd at parties whipping out my phone and taking a photo of my food, I'm already socially awkward enough as it is! ha ha

I was out at a friend's Birthday gathering which consisted of lots of people and food.  I was pretty good though as I only had a small portion and resisted other savoury foods that weren't definitely not low fat.  

I skipped the dessert table and birthday cake but oh lordy they looked amazing!

Breakfast: Beans n’ Bacon with Multigrain Toast

This breakfast is okay, not really one of my favourites, I wish they would just do normal baked beans.... I don't really notice the bacon.  The beans always need longer in the microwave because if I heat them as specified they are always cold in the middle.  

I have a 1000w microwave as they specify but it's still always cold and a little frozen.  I think the little black tubs never cook properly, I must stir them half way through and see if it makes a difference.

Lunch: Chicken Spaghetti and an Orange

The Chicken Spaghetti is really tasty, the sauce is really good.  I believe this is Chicken mince so there are no chunks of Chicken, which is good, because I hate chunks of thigh Chicken that are in some of the lunches.

Afternoon Snack: Dried Apricots

I'm so over these, I don't even know why they bother.  I know it's by weight but sometimes I get like five Apricots, how is that a snack?

I've had this one before and enjoyed it but I really didn't enjoy it tonight.  I think it may be because I'm sick the flavours aren't coming through and all I got was spicy.  Don't think I'll order it again for a while.

I haven't had much sleep lately and going out on the weekend did not help at all.  So I ended up sick :(  All the back of my sinuses is burning and my throat is on fire, hopefully it's just a head cold.  My feet were the worst today, I really did a number on myself, I had to rest them all day.

I forgot the Tomato!  I had four hours sleep and then went to catch up with my family for the day, so don't judge me. :P

Regardless, cheese, ham and muffin still equals deliciousness.

Lunch: Shepherd’s Pie and a Two Fruits Fruit Cup

I really enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie, my family had pizza & garlic bread again so I brought my lunch.  I didn't feel like I was missing out though, it was really good.

Afternoon Snack: Vanilla Yoghurt

I didn't eat my snacks today which is bad I know, when I'm out and socialising I find it harder to eat my snacks.

This wasn't very nice tonight, the rice was water logged.  I think sometimes there is too much ice build up in the meal.  I usually really enjoy this, the sauce was still good but the rice really let it down.

I was out most of the day and I could barely walk anyway. After dancing for five hours on Sunday night, my feet were still so sore.

 Great dinner.  I love this one as the Chicken breast is lovely, I like the mushroom sauce and potatoes in this one.

I was irritable and tired this afternoon, which is the reason for the extra coffee and then BAM! Massive migraine, I should have known.  

Today's Rant 
Okay, what is it with Women's clothing sizes? It's so annoying!  I can be four different sizes in one store!  As you may be aware I've lost 9.3kg, so my clothes are really baggy, saggy and unflattering so I needed new clothes.

I was previously pushing a size 26 and I believe there is 6-10 kg between sizes (not an exact science due to our stupid sizing differences even in the same store!).  So I really wasn't sure what size I was going to be.

Two weeks ago I bought size 26 jeans and I couldn't even do the button or zipper up and today they fit (yay!) and I have a pair of size 26 jeans from a different store that look like parachute pants on me now.  Today I left with three tops, from the same store, that fit well and in a size 18, 20 and L (usually 24-26 and XL-XXL).

Two weeks ago with the jeans I purchased a size 22 that fits a little lose and doesn't hug.  What the?  Okay so I vary from an 18 - 22 in a top (maybe more in a smaller fitting store) and anywhere from 22 - 26 in pants, well that's clear. :S

I'm so jealous that guys have ONE size, can walk into any store, pick up their size without trying it on and it fits. *SIGH*  Rant over!

Probably the best lunch ever! Pizza and Pineapple Bites, ah YES PLEASE!  It's sooooo good!  The base remains crispy because of the special plate they give you.

Pre Workout Snack: Banana

Okay so this losing weight thing is all new to me, obviously.  I didn't know you had to eat back the calories that you burn off through exercise.  Yes, it makes sense and it should be alarmingly obvious but to me it wasn't.   

So here I've been on 1200 calories (the lowest a women should be on) and doing exercise and feeling like crap and run down.  Anyway so now I know I will be adding in some extra snacks when I exercise.

I have chosen not to buy more food from Lite n' Easy (they get enough money) but buy additional snacks from the shops.  I also think this way I can get to know the calories in things and make healthy informed food choices on my own.

What are your favourite workout snacks?

Hasn't this been the best food day ever?  Great breakfast, pizza, pineapple, orange, banana, Rigatoni, just awesome.  Rigatoni is a really tasty dinner and it's one of my favourite Lite n' Easy meals.

What's your favourite dinner?  Have you tried the Rigatoni?

Dessert: Chocolate Paddle Pop
I felt like a little something extra tonight so decided to have this little guy.  So yummy, chocolaty and less calories than a small banana.  I don't want to have them every night but they are handy to have around.  Much cheaper than Skinny Cow ice-cream which I only buy on special.

Exercise: Workout DVD – Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone – 1 Mile
Combined with 500g weights (20mins).

I can’t find the exact workout but there is a similar one here.

I did the strength training the day before and thought it wasn't bad.  I woke up the next day and OMG MY THIGHS WERE SO SORE!  I would get out of a chair and make an old man noise, you know the one... you're making it now aren't you? ;)

So I decided to still do some exercise but I didn't want to go crazy on my poor thighs.  I know it's really basic and not very intensive but it depends how much you put into it as well.  When I started this use to wear me out but now I can do this with no problems at all and put far more effort into it.  Got to start somewhere, right?

My plan is to exercise five days a week, walking, dancing and strength training two days a week.
