Weigh In Wednesday! - Week 47 Weightloss Journey

See ya never again 35.3kgs!

Weightloss Week:47

Weight lost in 5 weeks: 3.1kg (6.83 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 113.5kg (250 pounds)
Total weightloss: 35.3kg (77.82 pounds)

Thoughts on the last few weeks...

I'm not going to lie and sugarcoat a shit... it's been tough!  I go through stages where my symptoms aren't as severe and then back to the really challenging stages where I feel like death.  The last few weeks I've been really unwell and instead of blogging during this time, I usually take a break until I'm feeling okay again.  But I really shouldn't do this and I should be blogging all the time, even on the sugarless shit days!

Today is one of the challenging days.  I feel like someone has kicked me in the guts, I've been nauseous all day and anti-nausea medication doesn't help.  I'm exhausted, my whole body aches and feels weak.  I feel unbalanced when I walk and get constant vertigo.  Plus I've taken my daily dose of Aspro Clear due to a migraine this morning.  I don't want to sound like I'm complaining but I just want to explain what my situation is like and perhaps you can appreciate why I'm away from this blog for periods of time.  I will try my hardest not to do this from now on.

Goals for next week

Now, getting back to something more positive...I've now lost over 35kgs!  I still almost can't believe it!  If I can lose 35kgs in a year, just think of what I can do next year!  My goal for next week..."just keep swimming" ;)

Weigh In Wednesday! - Week 42 Weightloss Journey

30kg weight loss
Goodbye 32.2 kgs of toxic sadness! ;)

Week Forty Two

Weightloss Week 42

Weight lost in 4 weeks: 1.4 kg (3.08 pounds)

Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)

Current weight: 116.6 kg (257 pounds)

Total weightloss: 32.2 kg (70.98 pounds)

Well, hello! We meet again!

I know, I know, I've been a bad blogger!  I've disappeared time and time again!  After my last post I was really ill and ended up with Shingles (adult Chicken Pox) on my face!  It was very painful and exhausting time, so I hope you can excuse me!

I previously completed a month of a Gluten free diet and then a month of a Dairy free diet (under the recommendation of my Neurologist).  I'm sorry that I didn't blog during this time.  I was, until recently, still ordering the Lite n' Easy dinners (that were either Gluten or Dairy free) and doing my own breakfasts, lunches and snacks.

I have since seen a Neurosurgeon who suggested that I now try a Paleo "diet".  In the last few weeks I have been slowly cutting out processed food and carbohydrates and obviously, Lite n' Easy.  I have to try this new way of eating due to my health.  If it fixes even a few of my symptoms, it's totally worth it.

I'll be blogging my experience, food, meals and recipes with you.  Hopefully, it will help those of you who would like to phase out Lite n' Easy too.  Don't get me wrong, I think Lite n' Easy is fantastic for the quality of the food and what it teaches you about eating and portion sizes.  But for me, the plan was to gradually go off Lite n' Easy, but I didn't realise I would be starting it so soon!

Goals for next week

I really want to get back into this blog and share this exciting new chapter with you all!  I miss you all so much!

I'm really determined to stick to Paleo and find new and interesting ways of preparing food as I don't want to be eating boiled Chicken and steamed Broccoli every night for dinner!

I've also started getting back out there and exercising again!  I'm so happy I finally can!  I'm going to be sharing this with you all too!

Lets do this! :)

Weigh In Wednesday! - Lite n' Easy Week 29 Weightloss Journey - Weekly Weigh In

Total Lost: 27.5 kg - Loss in Three Weeks: 2.7 kg

Week Twenty Nine

Weightloss Week 29

Weight lost in 3 weeks: 2.7 kg (5.95 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 121.3 kg (267.4 pounds)
Total weightloss: 27.5 kg (60.6 pounds)

Thoughts on the last three weeks

Hi Everyone!!! I’m so sorry that I went missing for a few weeks!  I got a really bad virus that knocked me out and I didn’t feel like blogging and just concentrated on resting and getting better.  I then became an Aunty!!!  I took a break and spent some time with my family through this exciting time!

I then had my birthday and celebrated with family and close friends.  It was a very busy few weeks but I enjoyed every moment and I’m glad to be back blogging again.

I didn’t take photos of what I ate, I didn’t track calories in My Fitness Pal but I tried to eat reasonably healthy most of the time.  During this time I did try a Peanut Butter Tim Tam (wasn’t a fan), a Red Velvet Tim Tam (was a fan), a Lindt Peanut Butter Ball (omfg yes!), a slice of Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake for my birthday and a beautiful Italian dinner that I don’t even want to guess the calories for!  However I still lost weight because I was still eating healthy the majority of the time and I did quite a bit of walking.

I’m pretty happy with a 2.7 kg loss in three weeks!  I can’t believe I am 2.5 kg shy of 30 kg! It blows my mind!

Goals for next week

I want to get exercising again, some dancing, walking and strength training.  I have been bad with my water intake again so I that is my challenge for next week.

How are YOU doing? I'd love to hear from you! :)

Weigh In Wednesday! - Lite n' Easy Week 26 Weightloss Journey - Weekly Weigh In

weigh in wednesday
24.8 kg Loss, 1.2 kg Loss This Week
Week Twenty Six

Weightloss Week 26

Weight lost this week: 1.2 kg (2.64 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 124 kg (273 pounds)
Total weightloss: 24.8 kg (54.67pounds)

Thoughts on this week
Oh my! I am so excited! Not only am I just shy of 25kgs, I’ve been doing a bit of a test and increased my calories from 1200 to 1500 and it worked for me!  I wanted to see for myself if I had a base of at least 1500 calories, increasing it when I burn off calories from exercise, that I could still lose weight and I can.

Before I was on the migraine medication that was helping me lose weight and from stress, I was only losing a few hundread grams on the 1200, so I was very happy to see some bigger numbers.

I hope this shows to some of you who are thinking about increasing your calories that you can still lose weight if you increase your calories.  The more I go through this journey, the more I feel that 1200 calories is too low for many but it’s all about what works for you.

Goals for next week

I just want to keep doing more of the same.  It would be great if I could have a more regular exercise plan but I don’t think that will ever happen as migraines are too unpredictable.  I do want to increase my water intake back up as that hasn’t been what it really should be.

How is your week going?

Weigh In Wednesday! - Lite n' Easy Week 25 Weightloss Journey - Weekly Weigh In

weightloss journey
Total Lost: 23.6 kg - Loss This Week -0.2 kg

Week Twenty Five
I was expecting to put on weight this week due to increased calories and uh it’s a certain time of the month, which can unfortunately mess with the scales.  Don’t we have enough to deal with? But an increase of 200 grams is nothing so I’m not concerned. J

Weightloss Week 25

Weight lost this week: -0.2 kg (-0.44 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 125.2 kg (276 pounds)
Total weightloss: 23.6 kg (52 pounds)

Goals for next week

I’m still going to try and keep a base of 1500 calories,1200 calories Lite n’ Easy and adding the extra 300 calories with my own/extra food.  I want to try and make the most of the days I’m not sick and exercise as much as I can.  Let’s see how this experiment goes! J

Week Twenty Four

Yes! I’m back to losing more than a few hundred grams again.  I have been able to exercise again so I’m thinking that is what has helped me out here.  I can’t believe 25kgs is just around the corner!  It seems like just yesterday I was celebrating my 20kg loss!  I’m going to have to come up with a 30kg reward pretty soon...

Weightloss Week 24

Weight lost this week: 0.8 kg (1.76 pounds)
Starting Weight: 148.8 kg (328 pounds)
Current weight: 125.2 kg (276 pounds)
Total weightloss: 23.6 kg (52 pounds)

Thoughts on this week

I’m so so sooooooooooo happy that I can move my butt again!  I’m feeling great and keeping the water up again.

Goals for next week

I want to get in to a bit of a routine with exercise and try and mix things up more and include more weights to try and build up some muscle.  I want to lose weight but I don’t want to lose my muscle!
